Walk Indiana
Programs: Walk Indiana
The Walk Indiana program brings together Hoosiers from all 92 counties to promote walking as a great way to stay active, involve friends and family and experience Indiana’s communities. Participants are virtually walking routes in northern, central and southern Indiana for four weeks.

Here’s how it works: Each week, we introduce the route, the distance, total steps required to complete, a daily step challenge and the recommended number of days to finish. Then, participants begin walking their neighborhoods, offices, parks, trails and other areas of the community to complete the route on time. It’s an opportunity to highlight the benefits of walking by putting into perspective the distance that can be covered walking 7,000 – 10,000 steps per day.
